Volunteer Opportunity: Companion Visitor & Phone Friend

We are seeking a warm and dependable volunteer to provide companionship to an older adult living independently in downtown Seattle. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys conversation, animals, and meaningful one‑to‑one connection.

About the Participant

• • Alert and fully oriented
  • Able to clearly express needs and preferences
  • Soft‑spoken with no communication barriers
  • Enjoys:
  • Animals (has two cats)
  • Music of all types
  • Friendly conversation and social connection

Volunteer Role

• • Provide in‑person companionship or serve as a phone friend
  • Engage in conversation, share music interests, or simply provide friendly presence
  • Help reduce isolation through regular, consistent connection
  • Coordination is done directly with the participant

Volunteer Preferences

  • Good listener and reliable communicator
