Description
Childcare Volunteer
A safe, loving childcare environment allows moms to fully engage in Hope Unexpected's weekly programming. Childcare volunteers care for infants through elementary-aged children, helping create a fun, nurturing space where kids feel safe, valued, and loved.
Volunteers may:
- Play games, read books, and engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Assist with crafts, snacks, and classroom routines.
- Comfort and encourage children while their moms participate in programming.
- Help create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment where every child feels seen and cared for.
Time Commitment:
Mondays | Approximately 4:00PM-5PM or 6:00pm-7:30PM
Childcare volunteers can serve as individuals, families (with approved adults), small groups, or workplace teams. No teaching experience is required—just a caring heart and a willingness to love on kids.
I especially like the first sentence because it makes it clear that childcare isn't just babysitting—it's what makes the entire ministry possible.
