Nonprofit
Google Ad Grants & Digital Marketing Volunteer: Help Kids Discover the Abacus
Details
Description
Soroban League North America (北米珠算連盟) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports soroban (Japanese abacus) teachers and students across North America. We run proficiency exams, a correspondence competition, and international exchange programs, including the International Abacus Competition in Toyama, Japan in 2027.
We have just been accepted into Google for Nonprofits. That makes us eligible for Google Ad Grants: up to $10,000 per month in free Google search advertising. We are looking for a volunteer who can turn this into real results. The goal is to help more families, schools and teachers find soroban programs, and to reach supporters for our events.
We are a small, all-volunteer team, and we use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT heavily. What we need most is someone who can take ownership: decide what needs to be done, give AI tools clear and well-defined instructions, check the output, and keep the work moving.

Please answer each question in a few sentences. For the AI question, describe something real you did: what you asked the AI to do and how you checked or improved its output.
We review applications within one week. We will invite shortlisted applicants to a short Zoom conversation (Pacific Time). We prefer applicants based in the U.S. or Canada.
