At Gentiva Hospice, we believe every patient deserves comfort, dignity, compassion, and connection during life’s most important moments. Our Continuous Care Team is dedicated to providing extra support to patients and families during times of increased need, ensuring no one feels alone during difficult transitions.

We are currently building a compassionate volunteer team to serve patients and families in:

• • Mount Vernon
  • Ashland
  • Mansfield
  • Shelby
  • and surrounding areas

Volunteer Position: Continuous Care Volunteer

Position Overview

Continuous Care Volunteers provide companionship, emotional support, and a calming presence for hospice patients and their loved ones during times when additional support is needed most. Volunteers work alongside our hospice care team to help create comfort, peace, and reassurance for patients and families.

This role may include:

• • Sitting with patients to provide companionship
  • Offering emotional support to family members
  • Reading, talking, listening, or sharing quiet presence
  • Helping create a peaceful environment
  • Providing respite support so caregivers can rest briefly
  • Supporting the mission of compassionate end-of-life care

No medical experience is required. Gentiva Hospice provides training, guidance, and ongoing support for all volunteers.
