Through our SAGACITY Leadership Program and community partnerships, we help young people build confidence, strengthen decision-making skills, and explore pathways toward a successful future.

    Position Overview

Simply Youth Institute is seeking an enthusiastic and relationship-focused Community Partnerships & Sponsorship Coordinator to help expand our network of supporters and secure resources that directly benefit the young adults we serve.

This role will focus on building relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and potential sponsors to secure in-kind donations, sponsorships, volunteer partnerships, and community support for SYI programs and events.

The ideal candidate enjoys networking, building relationships, and helping organizations find meaningful ways to give back to their communities.

    Responsibilities

    • Research and identify potential sponsors, community partners, and donors.
    • Conduct outreach through email, phone calls, social media, and in-person networking opportunities.
    • Secure in-kind donations such as gift cards, event supplies, food, raffle items, technology, educational materials, and services.
    • Assist in obtaining sponsorships for programs, workshops, events, and fundraising campaigns.
    • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
    • Track outreach efforts, sponsorship commitments, and partnership opportunities.
    • Assist with donor stewardship, thank-you communications, and recognition efforts.
    • Collaborate with SYI staff and volunteers to identify program needs and sponsorship opportunities.
    • Represent Simply Youth Institute professionally at community events and networking opportunities when available.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Comfortable reaching out to businesses and community organizations.
    • Organized and detail-oriented.
    • Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, customer service, nonprofit development, or community outreach is a plus.
    • Passion for youth development and community impact.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

    What You'll Gain

    • Hands-on nonprofit development and partnership-building experience.
    • Opportunities to develop fundraising, networking, and sponsorship acquisition skills.
    • Flexible schedule and remote-friendly work environment.
    • Professional mentorship and leadership development.
    • The opportunity to directly support programs that help young adults succeed.

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week.
    • Flexible schedule.
    • Hybrid/remote position with preference for candidates located in Lane County, Oregon.

    Compensation

This position includes a modest annual stipend ranging from $250–$1,000, depending on organizational funding availability, budget capacity, and the scope of responsibilities assumed throughout the year.

    To apply, please submit:

    1. A brief statement of interest.
    2. Resume.
    3. Any relevant experience in outreach, fundraising, sales, community engagement, or partnership development.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
