High Voltage Board Member Opportunity (2026–2028 Term)

High Voltage is seeking dedicated Board Members for the 2026–2028 term. High Voltage is a Louisiana non-profit organization providing intergenerational programs that support the community’s youth and senior citizens through educational, recreational, and arts programming.

Our programs help youth realize their potential, build character, and become effective, contributing members of society, while also keeping seniors active and engaged through health and wellness events.

    Board Service Pathway

Before joining the Board of Directors, applicants are required to volunteer with High Voltage for six months, contributing approximately 5–10 hours per month. This period allows both you and the organization to determine whether Board service is a good fit.

Advising on long-term and short-term organizational planning.

Participating in fundraising and resource development to support High Voltage’s mission.

Overseeing the management of the organization’s affairs and ensuring they are conducted in a businesslike, responsible, and efficient manner.

Assisting in the promotion of programs and services to the community, including through media and public engagement.

Participating in reports and presentations to the community about High Voltage’s programs and services.

Convening at least three times per year (January, April, and October) in the State of Louisiana.

Maintaining accurate records of all official proceedings.
