Development Team Volunteer

Join our development team and help us share our mission with the community!

We're looking for volunteers with marketing and outreach experience to support our fundraising and awareness efforts. This is an ongoing opportunity, and most of the work can be done remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Help promote our events and support us during them.
• Write newsletters, donor communications and outreach materials.
• Support fundraising campaigns and community events.
• Assist with outreach to community partners and potential supporters.
• Help with other development projects as they come up.

Qualifications:

• Experience in marketing, communications, social media, or outreach.
• Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising or event promotion.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Tech-savy and comfortable learning new tools.
• Friendly, energetic, and outgoing, with a welcoming presence at events.
• Creative, self-motivated, and reliable.
• Passion for supporting children and families.

Other details:

• Schedule: Very flexible! Volunteers can help Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm, with occasional evening or weekend events. You don't need to commit to full days. Even a couple of hours a week makes the difference. We'll work out a schedule together that fits your availability.
• Location: Mostly remote. Occasionally, we may meet in person at our SE Portland or Hillsboro office, at an event. We'll share details directly with volunteers.
