    Description

Join us in Simpson Community Shelter’s kitchen to help prepare and serve nutritious, chef-led meals that nourish both body and spirit. Volunteers work alongside our shelter chef to cook, serve, and share meals that reflect the cultures and dignity of our community.

Volunteering is simple, meaningful, and donation-based — your group’s contribution directly supports high-quality ingredients for each meal.

🍽 Chef-planned menus — no shopping or prep needed

    Two volunteer shifts available:

    Lunch: 10:30 AM–1:00 PM

    Dinner: 5:30–7:30 PM

💛 Staff support to guide food safety and logistics

🤝 Shared costs ensure consistent, nourishing meals for guests

By volunteering, you’re not just serving food — you’re building community and helping create a space of warmth, dignity, and connection for shelter residents. No prior cooking experience needed.
