    Description

    Lobbyist

Project 2029 is looking for passionate volunteer lobbyists to help advance our policy agenda, build relationships with public officials and aligned organizations, and advocate for democratic reforms that strengthen transparency, accountability, justice, and opportunity.

Join us in our mission to create a more perfect union and a democracy that truly puts the people first.

    About the Role

    As a Lobbyist, you will:

    • Represent Project 2029’s policy priorities in conversations with elected officials, legislative staff, advocacy partners, and community stakeholders.
    • Help identify legislative opportunities, track relevant bills, monitor policy developments, and provide strategic recommendations on advocacy efforts.
    • Prepare talking points, briefing materials, testimony, letters of support, and policy summaries that clearly communicate Project 2029’s positions.
    • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, civic organizations, coalitions, and public interest groups aligned with our mission.
    • Support advocacy strategy by helping translate policy ideas into practical legislative pathways at the local, state, or federal level.

    Who We Are

Project 2029 is a grassroots organization run entirely by volunteers like you. Our mission is to create a more perfect union, where freedom, opportunity, and security are available to all, where all people are treated equally, where the three branches of government are co equal, where corruption is exposed, and where laws are established for the good of everyone.

We are developing actionable policies to create a flourishing, transparent, and accountable government that works for all people. We are identifying and empowering new state and federal leaders to step into public service roles with the integrity and vision to implement fair and effective policies. We are rewriting the rules of governance to ignite a movement for democracy anchored in justice and committed to future generations.

    Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for candidates who are excited about progressive politics and dedicated to the idea that we can change what is happening in our country.

Ideal candidates will be persuasive, strategic, ethical, organized, and comfortable building relationships across government, advocacy, nonprofit, civic, and community spaces. They should understand how public policy moves through legislative or regulatory systems and be able to communicate complex issues clearly and professionally.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in lobbying, advocacy, public policy, government affairs, legislative affairs, campaigns, nonprofit advocacy, or civic engagement.
    • Knowledge of legislative processes, public policy development, stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and issue advocacy.
