Help Kids Learn Through Play as an Adventure Assistant

AdventurePlex is a health and fitness center created especially for youth and is geared to challenge children physically, mentally, and intellectually with non‐stop activities in a safe, structured environment.

This role runs June 15 - August 21, 2026, may be opportunities to continue after the summer.

Shifts: M-F, 9am-noon and 12:30 - 3:30pm

Expected Commitment: 30 hours over the summer, Volunteers can choose a regular weekly schedule or days that work best for their schedule

Duties:

• Ensure children experience a fun, educational and safe environment by monitoring Adventure Room and/or Toddler Town
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in Toddler Town, Adventure Room, Patio, Restrooms, Reading Corner, Sport Court, Party Rooms, and Outdoor areas:
• Picking up discarded toys and organizing areas for continued play
• Sanitize toys and clean areas as needed
• Notify staff of any spills, safety hazards and damaged or lost materials that need immediate attention
• Assist with various activities (e.g.; Arts & Crafts, ropes course, rock climbing, Costume Play, Story Time)
• Support camp staff throughout facility rotations to assist with operations and create a positive experience for participants
• Assist Staff with setting up and organizing activities during camp rotations
