Red Cross: Seeking A Volunteer Driver!

Help save lives in your community by delivering blood.

Did you know someone needs blood every two seconds? Every day, roughly 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed in the US. Simply put, that’s a lot of blood that is severely needed. Thankfully, many heed the need and donate blood. To continue to meet this critical need, the Northern New England Region is looking for dependable, safe, and courteous drivers to deliver lifesaving blood products.

As a Blood Transportation Specialist, you can be the critical link between blood donors and recipients. Volunteers take on regular routes and are on standby for emergency runs. Currently, we are seeking a volunteer in the Burlington area to pick up products in Burlington, VT, and deliver them to a facility in Dedham, MA so they can be processed before making their way into our local hospitals. The American red Cross will provide training, a vehicle and gas to make the delivery. However, we need your time and compassion!
