Volunteer WordPress Design & Development Specialist

Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc. is seeking a volunteer with WordPress design and development experience who would be willing to share their skills to support our animal rescue mission.

Our website helps people meet adoptable animals, learn about fostering, sign up to volunteer, and support our work. We’d love help making it more welcoming, useful, and easier for our volunteers to maintain.

How you can help

We’re hoping to connect with someone who enjoys customizing existing websites and templates, improving designs, and using plugins and integrations to make everyday tasks easier.

Projects may include:

• Updating page designs and customizing reusable Divi templates.
• Helping us transition existing content from Divi 4 to Divi 5.
• Organizing website content using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Creating and improving Gravity Forms.
• Connecting forms and website activity with Constant Contact and Zapier.
• Testing changes on a staging site before making them live.
• Reviewing custom code and helping troubleshoot compatibility issues.
• Sharing simple documentation so other volunteers can maintain the improvements.

Experience that would help

We’re looking for someone familiar with WordPress, Square, Divi 4 and Divi 5, ACF, Gravity Forms, Constant Contact, Zapier, etc. Experience converting existing sites or customizing templates would be especially helpful.

You don’t need previous animal rescue experience; just an interest in helping, clear communication, and a willingness to collaborate. We can work together to choose manageable projects that fit your skills and availability.

Volunteering with us

This is an unpaid, remote volunteer opportunity with flexible scheduling. You’ll work with our volunteer team, who can explain our current setup, discuss priorities, and help you understand how your contributions support the rescue.

If this sounds like a way you’d enjoy giving back, we’d love to hear from you. Please tell us a little about your WordPress experience and the kinds of projects you enjoy. If you have an example of your work you’d like to share, we’d be happy to see it.
