Bank Day at Deerwood Academy
Details
Description
Make saving come to life for students!
Bank Day is a hands-on banking simulation hosted through Operation HOPE’s HOPE Child Savings Account Program. Students experience what it’s like to make a bank deposit by completing a deposit slip and visiting a simulated teller window. This engaging activity introduces students to the importance of saving and may provide their first opportunity to experience the deposit process.
Volunteers help bring Bank Day to life by guiding students through the activity, providing encouragement, and helping ensure a fun, organized, and memorable experience.
Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers must have completed Operation HOPE’s volunteer clearance requirements before participating, including:
- An approved Level 3 background check.
- A current, unexpired Mandated Reporter training certificate.
Interested volunteers can sign up through Operation HOPE's volunteer portal account. Once registered, they will be contacted with additional information and next steps.
