Description
The Orange County California Genealogical Society (OCCGS) at Huntington Beach Public Library (HBPL) is looking for volunteers to help with their event on August 1, 2026, at Central Library on Talbert.
Those best suited for this volunteer position are able to move and lift boxes and books.
About OCCGS
The Orange County California Genealogical Society (established in 1963) is a non-profit, educational organization in Huntington Beach with 400 members. Its purpose is to collect, preserve and disseminate knowledge and information in regards to genealogy and related historical, biographical and heraldic data. It strives to instill and promote interest and instruction in genealogical research. OCCGS provides full maintenance and development of the Genealogy Collection housed at the Huntington Beach Central Library (lower level), which now contains over 23,000 volumes.
Adults 18 and over are welcome to apply. Volunteers are needed on July 31, 3-5 p.m., and/or August 1, 2-4 p.m.
