Help the Sierra Club Connect Kids & Families in Longmont to Nature

Boulder Valley Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO, formerly Inner City Outings) is launching a new group to serve Longmont: Longmont ICO (LICO). LICO will provide free nature outings and wilderness adventures to children and families in the Longmont area who would not have these opportunities any other way.

Boulder Valley ICO (BVICO) will train volunteers, support planned outings with our volunteers, and provision LICO with money, gear, and other resources needed to run a great program with the hope that LICO would soon be able to operate independently of BVICO. What we need, then, are people who are willing and able to invest time over at least the coming 4 to 5 years to get trained and begin operation of this new ICO group as leaders.

At least initially, we expect LICO to be modeled on Boulder Valley ICO. And leaders of LICO will be onboarded and trained as members of BVICO. Thus, you can learn a good deal about how LICO will initially operate from the videos and other information found here.
