    Description

    Sewers/Knitters

Are you crafty and want to make people comfortable? All projects can be done from the comfort of your home. We will reimburse you for expenses and pick up the project when complete. These can include fidget aprons/blankets, blankets, adult clothing protectors, and neck pillows, etc. Some of the projects help our dementia/Alzheimer's/aggiated patients. We are also open to your suggestions or ideas for items for patients.

    The special project:

fidget aprons/blankets: we are looking for sewers to make fidget blankets for our agitated patients. They are lap blankets or aprons that have a variety of activities for patients to do such as string to tie, zippers to zip, velcro, buttons, etc. We do reimburse for materials. Note: when making, please make sure that the items are not edible or lose so that the patients cannot eat them.

This opportunity is for volunteers in our service areas: Armstrong, Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Lawerence, Washington, Greene, and Westmoreland. Unless you want to mail items from your location at your expense.
