    Description

    Board Member (Volunteer)

The Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing services in Sarasota and Manatee counties to those suffering from food insecurity. We partner with non-profit organizations, religious institutions, food banks, schools and concerned citizens /agencies to schedule food drives, to create fundraising events and other activities that benefit our community. With support from the Mayors in our counties and various fundraising activities, we are able to donate food collected and food gift cards from funds raised throughout the year ....thus making a difference.

We are expanding our Board, extending our reach and adding needed skills to better serve the community. Ideal candidates would demonstrate a passion for helping the needy and possess willingness to commit time, energy and talent to fundraising, collaborating for success, governance and strategic planning. In addition, a good candidate would possess a business background, volunteering experience and a strong interest in promoting MFTH.
