    Description

Talent Acquisition Partner (Human Resource) – Volunteer Role

Talent Acquisition Partner (Interview & Selection)

    The Donovan’s Venom

Remote (U.S. or Canada) | Talent Acquisition | Volunteer

We’re Building — And Who We Bring In Matters

    The Donovan’s Venom is scaling.

And as we grow, one thing matters more than anything else:

who we bring into the organization.

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner (Interview & Selection) to lead the most critical part of hiring — decision-making.

This is not a sourcing role.

This is not a coordination role.

This is the role that determines who gets in — and who doesn’t.

    The Role

The Talent Acquisition Partner owns the interviewing and selection process, ensuring every candidate is evaluated with consistency, fairness, and high standards.

You will partner with recruiters and hiring managers to assess talent, make recommendations, and protect the quality of every hire.

    What You’ll Own

    Structured Interviewing & Evaluation

      • Conduct structured, competency-based interviews
      • Evaluate candidates against role requirements, skills, and values
      • Ensure consistency and fairness across all interviews

    Hiring Decisions & Recommendations

      • Make clear, data-informed hiring recommendations
      • Support decision-making across competing candidates
      • Ensure selections align with organizational needs and standards

    Quality Control in Hiring

      • Maintain high standards across all roles and departments
      • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in interview processes
      • Help refine interview frameworks and evaluation tools

    Collaboration with Hiring Teams

      • Partner with recruiters to receive qualified candidates
      • Work with hiring managers to align expectations
      • Ensure smooth handoff from sourcing → selection

    Candidate Experience

      • Deliver a professional, structured, and engaging interview experience
      • Ensure all candidates are treated with respect and clarity
      • Support a strong and consistent employer brand

    Data & Documentation

      • Document interview outcomes, feedback, and decisions
      • Maintain accuracy in hiring records and tracking systems
      • Contribute to hiring insights and reporting

    Who This Is For

This role is for someone who:

      • Has strong judgment and knows how to assess people
      • Values fairness, consistency, and structured decision-making
      • Can confidently recommend (or reject) candidates
      • Understands that hiring decisions shape the entire organization
      • Is detail-oriented and objective

    Qualifications

    Required

      • 2+ years in recruiting, interviewing, or talent acquisition
      • Experience conducting structured interviews
      • Strong understanding of candidate evaluation

    Preferred

      • Experience with competency-based interviewing
      • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments
      • Experience working in remote or distributed teams

    Commitment

      • 8–12 hours per week
      • Flexible schedule (aligned with interview availability)
      • Fully remote

    What You’ll Gain

      • Direct impact on who joins the organization
      • Experience in structured, high-quality hiring practices
      • Exposure to multiple teams and leadership
      • Opportunity to shape and improve hiring systems

    Application Requirements (Read Carefully)

We are actively hiring — not passively reviewing.

    To ensure alignment:

      • You must be able to start within 30 days
      • You must complete the full application
      • You must be ready to actively participate in interviews
