Emergency Room Guest Relations Volunteer

The Emergency Volunteer position provides support and information to patients and visitors in the emergency room, such as location of the cafeteria, its hours, as well as the outpatient pharmacy location. They also will as assist staff with supplies, checking in on patients to help provide comfort measures, answering call lights etc. This is a busy clinical position, and it requires excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills and the ability self-direct. You must be comfortable to talking with strangers and if you are reserved or shy this would be a very challenging position.
