    About Rainforest Partnership

Rainforest Partnership is a nonprofit conservation organization advancing Indigenous-led initiatives and biodiversity science in Ecuador and Peru. We work to protect tropical rainforests, conserve biodiversity, and support community-led conservation solutions.

    The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, creative, and proactive Volunteer Fundraising & Development Specialist to help us expand our fundraising efforts, particularly during the critical year-end giving season.

We have compelling conservation initiatives, meaningful opportunities for donor engagement, and a growing network of contacts. What we need now is someone who can bring fresh fundraising ideas, identify promising opportunities, expand our reach, and help us put those ideas into action.

Working directly with our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate contribution to our fundraising efforts while helping strengthen our approach for 2027.

    What You'll Help Us Do

    • Generate new fundraising opportunities: Bring fresh, practical ideas for reaching individual donors, corporate sponsors, philanthropic networks, and other potential supporters.
    • Strengthen year-end fundraising: Help develop and implement targeted fundraising activities for GivingTuesday and the final months of 2026.
    • Expand donor outreach: Identify promising prospects, recommend effective approaches, and help prepare personalized outreach and follow-up communications.
    • Develop creative fundraising initiatives: Explore new ways to engage supporters, activate existing networks, and attract new donors.
    • Support donor cultivation: Help turn initial connections into meaningful conversations, relationships, and funding opportunities.
    • Contribute to 2027 planning: Share ideas and recommendations to strengthen our fundraising strategy for the coming year.

    Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in someone who:

    • Has demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor development, philanthropy, or corporate sponsorships.
    • Is resourceful, creative, and comfortable developing new fundraising approaches.
    • Can work independently, take initiative, and move projects forward.
    • Understands how to identify and engage prospective donors and supporters.
    • Enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
    • Has strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
    • Is results oriented, ethical, and professional

Experience in environmental conservation or international nonprofits is a plus, but not essential. We value fundraising experience, practical ideas, and the ability to turn opportunities into action.

    Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to put your fundraising experience to work for an international conservation organization protecting some of the world's most important rainforest ecosystems.

You will work directly with nonprofit leadership, contribute ideas that can be implemented quickly, and help build the resources needed to support conservation initiatives in Ecuador and Peru.

Your contribution will be visible, valued, and directly connected to our organization's ability to grow.

    Time Commitment

We are seeking someone who can begin as soon as possible, ideally contributing approximately 10 hours per week through December 2026, transitioning to approximately 5 hours per week starting January 2027.

The position is fully remote, with flexible scheduling and regular collaboration with our leadership team.

    How to Apply

Please send a brief introduction describing your fundraising experience, examples of successful initiatives you have supported, and your availability to begin.

We would especially welcome hearing about a creative or effective fundraising approach you have developed or implemented.

We look forward to hearing from you!
