    American Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) Volunteer - San Angelo, TX

    The American Red Cross Amarillo is looking for compassionate, level-headed volunteers to join our Disaster Action Team (DAT). DAT members respond when local disasters strike — most often home fires — providing immediate comfort, support, and resources to individuals and families in some of the hardest moments of their lives. This is an in-person, onsite role only.

    • Respond to local disaster calls (primarily home fires) as part of an on-call rotation, day or night
    • Provide immediate emotional support and comfort to individuals and families affected
    • Assess client needs on scene and provide financial assistance for essentials like lodging, food, and clothing
    • Connect clients to long-term recovery resources and community partners
    • Complete required documentation for each response
