Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter

We are looking for a HR Generalist or Recruiter volunteer to join our team and be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring volunteers to support our mission. This role involves full-cycle recruiting, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great volunteers.

Although predominately a remote role, volunteer must be able to attend 2-4 in-person recruitment events per year (Montgomery Country, Bucks County and Philadelphia, PA).

Duties:

• Recruitment of volunteers, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and communicating with candidates
• Maintain accurate and organized records of candidates' application status
• Retention, off boarding :Acting as the primary point of contact for employee questions, mediating conflicts, retention activities and supporting performance management and exit interviews
• Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, EEO, FLSA, etc.) and implementing company policies. Processing background checks, setting up drug screenings, verifying I-9 compliance, child abuse clearance, and organizing physical or digital employee file
• Plan and execute recruitment activities, such as in-person recruitment events
• Provide reports and updates to the HR Team Lead
• Assist with continuous improvement in our HR processes, templates, etc.
• Support other HR projects, e.g. engagement activities

Experience:

• Previous experience in Human Resources / Recruitment / Talent Acquisition
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
