YRES Event Support Assistant (Carrville Mills Public School Mental Health Workshop)

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a YRES Brand Ambassador—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.

The YRES Brand Ambassador is responsible for:

• Facilitating conversation with participants
• Setting up for the event and helping with take down of materials
• Arriving to the event on-time and in professional attire
• Preparing materials for activities and ensuring inventory is accounted for
• Displaying a warm and friendly disposition to attendees
• Providing direct support to event leads on site

Who We're Looking For:

• Minimum age: 12
• Able to independently arrive to work on time
• Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn
• Can commit to scheduled time of the shift
• Fluency in English
• Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
