    About MFCF

We are the Minority Freedom Community Fund, a Black-led and founded national intermediary nonprofit.

    Our mission is:

To improve the lives of African Americans and minorities in the United States of America through a multifaceted approach that includes providing capital infusions, supporting existing social infrastructure, and promoting holistic wellness.

We operate as a virtual-first organization with a physical community hub located at Aya House in Detroit, MI. Our work strengthens existing social infrastructure, deploys catalytic capital, and advances holistic wellness across communities nationwide.

    Our People

We are led by members of the communities we serve. Our team includes volunteers, board leaders, advisors, and partners who are authentic, disciplined, and deeply committed to community-centered impact.

    We value:

    • Accountability and fiduciary responsibility
    • Transparency and strong governance
    • Initiative and a learn-by-doing mindset
    • Flexibility and self-leadership
    • Continuous learning and professional growth

We are building long-term institutional strength, not personality-driven work. Every role at MFCF contributes to sustainability, integrity, and mission alignment.

What We Look For in Volunteers and Leaders

    We seek individuals who:

    • Embrace responsibility and follow-through
    • Communicate clearly and professionally
    • Respect governance structures and accountability systems
    • Are motivated by collective impact over individual recognition
    • Are comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial nonprofit environment

Our volunteers do not simply help. They build systems that improve lived experiences for our fellow brothers and sisters across the country.
