Description
Evergreen Movement (Evergreen Project Inc.) is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Plymouth, Massachusetts. We develop environmental curriculum for students and advocate for federal policy on the environment, housing and democracy.
Our website is being built now and launches soon. We’re looking for a volunteer WordPress developer to join our web team. You’d support the build and help keep the site running smoothly after launch.
What you’ll do
- Work alongside our lead designer on the WordPress build: pages, layout, plugins
- Help set up the donation page (PayPal through a WordPress donation plugin) and a newsletter signup
- Step in on updates, fixes and backups after launch
- Work with our accessibility volunteer so the site works for everyone
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on WordPress experience (themes, plugins, page builders)
- Comfortable with hosting basics (GoDaddy a plus)
- Reliable and clear in communication
- Bonus: experience with privacy-friendly setups (we don’t use visitor tracking)
Details
- Unpaid volunteer role, remote, about 3–5 hours a week
- Must be 18 or older
- You’ll be credited on our team page and can use the work in your portfolio
- All volunteers sign our Volunteer and Confidentiality Agreement
To apply: send your resume or portfolio, your location and time zone, and a sentence confirming you understand this is an unpaid volunteer role. Please use the subject line “WordPress.”
