    Description

    McLaren Hospice is looking for dedicated individuals who would like to make a difference in the lives of patients that are being faced with advanced illness. Training is provided and no medical experience is necessary.

    Services may include:

    • Friendly visits with patient and/or family
    • Listening to patient reminisce about their past
    • Reading to patient
    • Respite support for caregiver by sitting with patient while family takes a break
    • Meal preparation/light housekeeping
    • Assisting with running errands, letter writing

    Additonally, we are looking for volunteers with special talents such as:

    • Trained therapy dogs
    • Musically inclined and would like to share their musical gifts
    • Aromatherapy training
    • Massage Therapy
    • Interest in clerical/office work
