School Volunteer – Classroom Support (Northampton Schools, VINS)

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to support students in Northampton Public Schools through the Volunteers in Northampton Schools (VINS) program.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Support students with basic classroom activities
• Help reinforce reading and writing skills
• Assist teachers during structured learning time
• Provide positive engagement and encouragement to students

Available Opportunities:

• Daily volunteer slot from 1:00–2:00 PM
• Additional opportunity on Wednesdays focused on writing support

Qualifications:

• Interest in working with students
• Reliable and consistent availability
• Ability to follow school guidelines and maintain a respectful environment

Volunteers play a key role in supporting student learning and building strong school communities. No prior teaching experience is required.

After expressing interest, we will follow up with next steps, including a required background check (CORI).
