    Description

    CAPSLO's Early Education and Child Care Programs is made up of Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal Head Start and State Child Development Programs. Head Start Programs are national programs that promotes school readiness for children under five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. The mission is to provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to support the development of the whole child.

    The Early Education and Child Care Internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education. Tasks include playing with children, helping to clean and organize, and other tasks as needed by the Center Directors.

    CAPSLO Early Education and Child Care (EECC) Centers are located in San Joaquin, Kern, San Benito, Fresno, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Orange and San Diego Counties.
