There are veterans who are at end of life that need the comradeship of a fellow military veteran. In many instances, our country's heroes have never fully talked about their experience in serving our country. Yet, at end of life, the memories come flooding back, memories that can be both positive and negative. Speaking to a civilian about their experiences is good but not as healing as talking to a fellow veteran.
You can be that person. We provide training, supervision, and lots of support when you take on this mission. Typically, volunteers meet with their person 2 - 4 times per month, 1 - 3 hours per visit. Vets being with other vets is invaluable and you will be that connection that is so sorely needed.
Hospice Promise serves all of Maricopa County.
