    Social Media Manager-Mission Driven

    The Max’s Kansas City Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the cultural legacy of Max’s Kansas City for over 25 years. We provide one time grants of between $500-$1000 for emergency relief to individuals in the arts in crisis living in NY State, and empower teens through grants, arts workshops and MAXS FEARLESS YOUth teen driven video podcast YouTube channel, leveraging the arts to address mental health and storytelling to reduce the risk of substance abuse and suicide. We are based in Kingston, NY.

    We believe in the transformative power of art, music, and storytelling to build community and expand opportunity for young creatives.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a creative, strategic, and mission-aligned Social Media Manager to grow our digital presence, deepen engagement, and amplify our programs and partnerships. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the arts, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation.

    The Social Media Manager will develop and execute content strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook helping us reach artists, supporters, educators, donors, and youth participants.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals
    • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (posts, reels, stories, graphics, captions)
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects our artistic heritage and contemporary mission
    • Grow audience engagement and expand reach organically
    • Promote events, fundraising campaigns, artist spotlights, and youth programs
    • Stay current with social media trends and platform updates
