Front Desk/Greeter/Gallery Attendant

You don't have to be an expert in history to be welcoming to our Museum! We are looking for front desk staff to welcome our visitors, point them to the galleries, provide basic museum information, and ring up sales in the gift shop. If you love people - our people will love YOU! Join our friendly team of front desk staff today!

Researcher and Library Attendant

The library at the Sparks Heritage Museum features access to the photography collection, a collection of books and other materials focused on museum themes, computers to research collection materials and more. We are looking for people interested in helping people find materials in the collection, assisting in research requests, getting familiar with our collections, organizing files, using Newspapers.com and Ancestry.com and more! We ask for 3 hour shifts and hopefully at least once-a-week. Help us help our community by falling in love with the history of Sparks!

Tour Leader

Are you a history lover? Do you enjoy working with the public? We would love to have you join our team in providing gallery tours, learning how to do train tours, and tours of the Glendale schoolhouse as well! Tour groups range from school age groups to adults and special events and are scheduled in advance. Training and information provided on site.

Handyperson

Are you handy with tools? Can you help change light bulbs? Move exhibit materials? Set up tables? We would LOVE to have a little more elbow grease here, and keeping up with this lovely historic building is very important to us.

Front Desk Host

Greet and interact with Museum visitors, distribute parking passes, provide directions and museum information, ring up gift shop sales and museum admissions (handling of money). Lobby Hosts may also be called upon to help the Museum staff with other office duties.
