    Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)

    Time Commitment: 20–25 hours per week

    Position Type: Volunteer (with potential for paid role as funding allows)

    About LoopTalk

    LoopTalk is a supportive services program of LoopRoots Foundation focused on helping families impacted by incarceration navigate the emotional challenges surrounding prison and jail visits. The program provides structured pre-visit and post-visit support to help individuals and families prepare emotionally, communicate effectively, and process feelings after visits.

    LoopTalk is designed to promote emotional balance, stability, and resilience for children, caregivers, and loved ones affected by incarceration. Services are supportive and educational in nature and do not replace clinical therapy unless delivered by licensed professionals.

    Role Overview

    The Volunteer Program Coordinator will support the development and coordination of the LoopTalk program. This role is well suited for someone with experience or interest in family support services, reentry support, social services, or nonprofit program operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support coordination of LoopTalk pre-visit and post-visit support services
    • Assist with onboarding and scheduling families for support sessions
    • Help maintain program structure, workflows, and documentation
    • Coordinate with facilitators, volunteers, or licensed providers as applicable
    • Support tracking of participation, outcomes, and program feedback
    • Assist with developing program materials and family-facing resources
    • Ensure confidentiality and trauma-informed practices are upheld

    Qualifications (Preferred, Not Required)

    • Background or strong interest in family support, reentry services, social work, or nonprofit programs
    • Experience with program coordination, peer support, or case management a plus
    • Strong communication, organization, and empathy skills
    • Ability to work with sensitive and emotionally complex situations
    • Trauma-informed, nonjudgmental, and reliable
    • Comfortable working remotely and using scheduling or tracking tools
