    Volunteer Administrator

    Position Overview:

    RECEWAPEC is seeking a dedicated and passionate International Volunteer Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our administrative functions and enhancing our capacity to advocate for the rights and welfare of older persons as well as ameliorating their living conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social justice and the well-being of elderly populations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the administrative operations of RECEWAPEC internationally when need arises
    • Support the coordination and organization of meetings, conferences, and events related to ageing issues.
    • Manage communication with stakeholders, including partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
    • Prepare reports, proposals, and documentation for various projects and initiatives.
    • Represent RECEWAPEC at international United Nations Conferences and meetings, including those held at the UN Geneva Office, UN Headquarters in New York, and Vienna.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Strong interest in issues related to ageing, social justice, and human rights.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Be able to visit the national office in Cameroon in the future to meet with the CEO, organizational staff and the beneficiaries (elderly population).
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or other languages is an asset.
    • Residence of New York and its nearby cities and states are encouraged to apply for easy access to the UN Head Quarters, for those applying for a position in the UN Head Quarters.
    • Previous experience in administration, project management, or advocacy work is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Creativity with fund raising initiatives.
