Housing Navigation Volunteer Assistant

Description: The purpose of the Housing Navigation volunteer at Wesley House is to assist the Housing Navigator with connecting the post-secondary clients to resources and opportunities for stability in housing, academics, and work.

Title: Housing Navigation Volunteer Assistant

Duties: Under the direction of the Housing Navigator, the Housing Navigation Volunteer Assistant

Compiles resources for clients based on Housing Navigator's guide (e.g. job leads, on-campus resources, etc.)

Does outreach to remind clients of patio programs, appointment reminders, scholarship opportunities, and other outreach needs.

Assists with patio programs (set up, activity assistance, clean up)

Maintain confidentiality of client information (the most which would include first name and phone number)

Thursday and Friday. The window available is 3:15pm - 6:15pm.

This is an ongoing opportunity for someone who can commit to at least four consecutive shifts and can be extended month - to - month.

Volunteer should be familiar with Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Canva, or be willing to be trained. Volunteer should have high interpersonal skills and be good at taking direction in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, volunteer should have experience or an interest in community education.
