    Description

    Volunteer Board Member

    We seek volunteer Board members who are passionate and enthusiastic about our organization's mission and who possess the 4 C’s.

    • Excellent personal and written communication skills
    • Have mastered the art of collaboration
    • Value creativity
    • Know the importance of critical thinking

    We expect our volunteer Board members to have the time and energy to devote 3-5 hours per week to advancing our organization’s mission. They must be available to attend the monthly Board meeting (approximately 90 minutes) and participate in the work of one committee. Since our Board members may come from across the nation, our Board and committee meetings are held online via Google Meet.

    We are looking for individuals with prior nonprofit Board experience and who have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

    • Business Development
    • Grant writing
    • Graphic design
    • Marketing
    • Networking
    • Nonprofit governance
    • Partnerships & Contracts
    • Policies and procedures
    • Program evaluation
    • Program implementation
    • Public relations
    • Strategic planning
