Veteran Volunteers Needed: Honor Those Who Served

The bond between veterans is unlike any other. As a Level 4 We Honor Veterans hospice program, we're seeking veteran volunteers to support fellow veterans receiving end-of-life care.

Whether through conversation, shared memories, or simply being present, your service can bring comfort, dignity, and connection when it matters most.

As a Veteran Volunteer, You May:

• Visit veteran hospice patients for companionship and support
• Participate in veteran recognition and pinning ceremonies
• Support special veteran-focused events and initiatives
• Offer understanding rooted in shared military experience

What We Ask:

• Flexible commitment—typically 1–2 visits per month
• Service opportunities throughout the Kansas City metro and at John Knox Village
• Compassion, reliability, and respect for confidentiality

No hospice experience is required. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing support, and We Honor Veterans education.
