The Twala Trust Animal Sanctuary in Zimbabwe is home to 52 different species and over 400 rescued birds and animals. We are a one-of-a-kind Sanctuary in Africa, located in beautiful Zimbabwe outside the capital Harare.
. You will also be part of a community program that transforms the lives of rural dogs, and you'll learn more about conservation in our beautiful country.
We have places for volunteers of all ages, from all backgrounds. There is a daily charge for board and lodging, and you will live on site in a comfortable volunteer house, with all meals provided by our fabulous cook, who can cater easily for particular dietary needs.

With only 5 volunteers at any time, your experience will be hands-on, rewarding and life changing. We recommend a minimum two week stay at Twala. Many of our volunteers stay a month or more. There is a small, daily fee to cover the cost of food and board.
