Active Listening ProActive Remote Caller Volunteers to VITAS hospice patient caregivers

VITAS Healthcare offers this remote volunteer telephone calling opportunity from your home, campus apartment or room. Outstanding for retirees who enjoy talking and listening to others, internship or service opportunity for college students in healthcare, nursing, pre-med, social work, pastoral care, health administration and more. VITAS is looking for caring individuals to share their listening ear, voice and time as ProActive Caller Volunteers to support terminally ill patients and their families. In this program, the Primary Caregiver receives "check-in" phone calls by trained VITAS Volunteers. These calls provide support, reassurance and ascertain if needs are being met. Excellent opportunity for retirees looking to be engaged with others without traveling to a location. If you have a desire to engage with others and provide support, this is a great opportunity for you!
