Description
Help us support artisans around the world! Our volunteers enable us to fulfill our Fair Trade mission.
We operate a non-profit retail store in Squirrel Hill. We sell beautiful and sustainable handmade items including; home goods, gifts, and personal accessories. Our retail sales support our artisan partners around the world.
Volunteers perform sales and customer service duties on our sales floor. They also help educate customers about our Fair Trade mission.
Volunteer responsibilities include;
- Talking about the store and mission
- Learning product background and artist stories
- Greeting customers as they enter the store
- Assisting customers and offering suggestions
- Ringing up customers at the register/Point of Sale (POS)
- Unpacking orders
- Pricing products and stocking shelves
- Arranging and moving store displays
- Light housekeeping
