Planting Crew Leader Trainings w/ Friends of Trees (multiple options)

Planting Crew Leaders are trained volunteers who lead small groups of people to plant trees and have fun at our community planting events. Friends of Trees cannot run these events without the support of this valued position! After your training, we expect you to help lead a crew at 4 Saturday morning events Oct-April (select for events that fit your schedule!).

• Sat Oct 10th, 8:45am-2pm: Tualatin, OR
• Sat Oct 17th, 9:45am-2pm: Gresham, OR
• Sat Oct 24th, 9:45am-2pm: SE Portland, OR

Before attending an In-Person training, participants are expected to complete an online training. The online modules will be emailed to you, take ~ 1.5 hours, and you'll have two weeks to complete them before your in-person training.

Trainees can expect to plant different root stocks, learn about tree identification, hone your inclusive leadership skills, and meet the staff you'll be working alongside! Lunch provided, as well as a "Tree Team" tshirt!
