Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media & Content Management Committee Lead
Organization: God’s Messenger of Victorious People (GMOVP) Location: Remote/Hybrid (San Antonio, TX preferred) Time Commitment: 6-10 hours/week (flexible based on campaign needs) Reports to: Director of Community Impact & Strategic Initiatives
Position Summary
The Social Media & Content Management Committee Lead will play a key role in amplifying GMOVP’s mission and impact through digital storytelling. This volunteer leader will oversee the creation, scheduling, and engagement of content across GMOVP’s social media platforms and website, helping to build awareness, attract supporters, and inspire action.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop engaging posts, graphics, and videos that reflect GMOVP’s mission and programs
- Social Media Management: Schedule and publish content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Engagement & Growth: Monitor comments, respond to messages, and grow GMOVP’s online community
- Campaign Planning: Collaborate on digital campaigns for events, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment
- Website Updates: Assist with updating content on GMOVP’s Google Site or other platforms
- Analytics & Reporting: Track engagement metrics and provide monthly performance summaries
Qualifications
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite)
- Strong writing and visual storytelling skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Passion for social impact and GMOVP’s mission
- Familiarity with nonprofit communications (preferred but not required)
