Join the Board of the League of Women Voters San Francisco

The League of Women Voters of San Francisco (LWVSF) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that helps our Members and San Francisco residents at large engage with the public sector. To find out more about our work in defending democracy visit lwvsf.org.

Our organization is seeking new volunteer Board members who want to lead our organization. We are specifically looking for the positions of Secretary and Tech Chair; however if you have an interest in serving on a non-profit board and neither of these areas interest you, please do contact us. Board members meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6-8PM via Zoom plus attend an additional committee meeting for 1 hour/month. As a League Board member, you will have the opportunity to shape the agenda of our organization over the next few years, meet other active volunteers in the San Francisco community, and learn more about how to engage with government and other nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area!

Role requirements:

• Attend monthly Board meetings (no meetings held in December each year)
• Become a member of the League of Women Voters of San Francisco (find out how to become a member here: https://lwvsf.org/membership)
• Must not be an elected official or candidate for office at the local, state or federal level of government
• Commit to our League's non-partisan policy (our League does not support or oppose candidates or political parties)
• Must serve a 2-year Board term
