Volunteer Recruiter & Coordinator

The Cat Sanctuary seeks a compassionate, organized Volunteer Recruiter & Coordinator to help grow the volunteer community that makes our lifesaving cat rescue work possible. This role is essential to our success—volunteers are the heart of everything we do for cats and kittens in need.

What You'll Do

• Recruit and welcome new volunteers through online platforms, social media, and community outreach.
• Support and retain volunteers by fostering connection, communication, and purpose.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, scheduling, and volunteer communications
• Match volunteers with meaningful roles that directly support cats and kittens
• Track volunteer participation and help recognize volunteer contributions

Ideal Volunteer

• People-oriented, organized, and reliable
• Passionate about animal welfare—especially cats and kittens
• Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and basic digital tools
• Experience with volunteer coordination or outreach is helpful but not required

Details

Time Commitment: Approximately 2+ hours per week (flexible). If/when necessary, we will recruit someone to work with the lead volunteer coordinator (you!).
