    About Multi-Cultural Earth Day 2026

    ✨Earth Day calls for warriors of environmental justice, and we need YOUR beat to make a difference. 🌿🌈 Become a guardian of our planet with WorldBeat Center in San Diego, CA. 🌍 Embrace the power of community, music, and action🌟 Volunteer with us for Earth Day and let's make waves for a sustainable future!

    Volunteers will help the event run smoothly by helping with logistics, supporting artists, providing information to attendees, keeping the event space tidy, and more.

    Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

    Shift: Sign up for a shift either Saturday 04/18 (the day before) or Sunday 04/19 (day of event) or both!

    Attire: Comfortable, casual clothing. Volunteers will be in both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the event so dressing in layers and wearing sun protection (hat, sunscreen) is recommended.

    Weather: This event is rain or shine so it will not be canceled if it rains.

    About the WorldBeat Cultural Center

    As a non-profit multi-cultural arts organization the WorldBeat Cultural Center is dedicated to promoting, presenting and preserving the African Diaspora and Indigenous cultures of the world through Music, Art, Dance, Multi-Media Arts, Education, and STEAM Research. By raising consciousness, the WorldBeat Cultural Center promotes peace within our San Diego community. They provide on-going programs and services that nurture the spirit of children, the elderly and everyone in between. Their main goal is to create unity within diversity.

    Details of Event:

      • Live music by Jamaican artist Kabaka Pyramid and The Stinkfoot Orchestra with additional performances by Mariea Antoinette, Sol Remedy, and Junkyard Dance Crew.
      • Native American drumming and blessing by Tim Red Bird and the Red Warriors
      • WBC multi-cultural class showcase: Japanese Taiko Hosted by San Diego Taiko, Middle-Eastern Drumming and Belly Dance, West African Drum and Dance, and Brazilian Samba by Super Sonic Samba
      • Healing Garden activities: annual Seed Swap, children’s activities like birdwatching, compost workshops, plant music showcase, and healing modalities in the garden. Also make sure to find and support our garden’s plant sale!
      • Multi-cultural and Wellness vendor village
      • Earth friendly informational booths
      • All vegetarian vendors!

    • After Event Shift #4: Sunday, April 19 – 5PM–7PM (breakdown crew)
