Event Support Officer
Details
Description
Help us bring educational experiences to life!
At KBI, our events are where community, learning, and discovery intersect. We're looking for a Volunteer Event Support Officer who understands that every well-run session, workshop, or competition leaves a lasting impression on the students and communities we serve.
This is a role for someone who thrives behind the scenes. Your support will help ensure that every KBI event runs smoothly—from the first planning call to the final wrap-up.
What you will do
You will be the backbone of KBI's event operations. This means assisting in the planning and coordination of workshops, competitions, and community events, supporting logistics such as scheduling, venue coordination, and participant communications, preparing event materials and documentation so nothing falls through the cracks, monitoring event timelines and flagging issues before they become problems, helping with on-site or virtual event facilitation, and conducting post-event follow-ups and reporting to improve future programs.
You might be a great fit if
You are organized, proactive, and calm under pressure. You pay attention to details that others miss and take pride in making things run smoothly. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and don't mind pivoting when plans change. You want your organizational skills to directly serve students and communities who benefit from well-executed educational events.
What you will get out of this
This is a chance to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit event production from planning through execution. You'll build practical project management and coordination skills while contributing to high-impact programs. You'll leave with a portfolio of real events and a deeper understanding of community-centered program delivery.
Why this role matters
Events are where KBI's mission becomes tangible. Without thoughtful coordination and reliable support, learning experiences lose their impact. Your work ensures that every participant—student, educator, or community member—has an experience that inspires them to keep engaging with KBI.
