    Description

Guardian ad Litem - Be a child's advocate in court!

How can you help a child in need? Guardians ad Litem are community members, who are trained as child advocates, who are then paired with an Attorney Advocate to represent the best interest of juveniles in abuse/neglect/dependency court. The Guardian ad Litem is appointed by a District Court Judge and will conduct an independent investigation as to what the child needs, and what their expressed wishes are, in order to inform the court and make recommendations as to what is in the child's best interest.
