Description
TWCUYC is seeking compassionate volunteers to facilitate weekly peer support groups for individuals working toward stability, recovery, and personal growth. Groups may be held virtually or in person.
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate one peer support group per week
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment
- Encourage participant engagement and discussion
- Share resources and coping strategies when appropriate
- Track attendance and participation
- Coordinate with TWCUYC leadership regarding group needs
What We’re Looking For
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Ability to facilitate discussions in a respectful and supportive manner
- Lived experience, peer support experience, recovery coaching, mentoring, or group facilitation experience is highly valued
- Certification as an RSPS, MHPS, CPRS, CPS, Peer Recovery Coach, or similar peer support credential is preferred.
- Candidates without certification must have documented experience facilitating support groups, recovery groups, or peer-led programs.
Time Commitment
At least one group session per week, plus preparation time.
