1. 📅 Schedule an Interview – Reply with a few dates and times that work for you so we can meet in person and answer all your questions.
2. 📄 Submit Your Volunteer Application – We’ll provide the form and walk you through how to complete it.
3. 💉 Complete Required Screenings – Drug test, two-step TB test, and background check (all arranged and paid for by Enhabit).
4. 📚 Attend Volunteer Training – About 8 hours total, offered online and in person, to prepare you for patient and family support.
5. 🚗 Submit Driver Info (if applicable) – Provide a copy of your driver’s license and current auto insurance if you plan to drive to visits.
6. 🐾 Optional: Enroll in Comfort Paws – If volunteering with your dog, ensure they meet age, vaccination, and obedience requirements.
7. 💜 Start Volunteering! – Once onboarding is complete, you’ll be ready to begin visiting patients, supporting families, or helping behind the scenes.
