    Description

Focus: Institutional Funding & Program Sustainability

    Role Overview

Help us secure the resources necessary to expand our health literacy workshops. We are looking for a detail-oriented volunteer to identify private foundation and government grant opportunities that align with our mission of providing real-time advocacy for patients in crisis.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research local and national grants focused on healthcare access and equity.
    • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements for the foundation.
    • Draft high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry (LOIs).
    • Gather data and organizational stories to support compelling humanitarian narratives.

    Essential Skills

    • Experience with grant prospecting databases (e.g., Candid/Foundation Directory Online) and analytical writing.
    • Note: We welcome candidates who are eager to develop these skills. If you are new to grant writing but possess a strong desire to learn the process, we encourage you to apply.

    Educational & Humanitarian Benefits

    • Develop technical writing and non-profit research skills.
    • Learn the "economic reality" of funding a 501(c)(3) organization.
    • Flexible, project-based role that can be performed entirely remotely.
