Must have stable living condition, be patient and non judgmental. Must look beyond behavior, appearance and help all youth meeting them where they are. Must be able to walk and carry supplies.
Description
StandUp for Kids provides street outreach and advocacy for youth experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. Our goal is to meet young people where they are, offering support, resources, and a consistent, caring presence.
Street Outreach Volunteers are an important part of building trust and helping youth connect with resources and services. Volunteers work as part of a trained outreach team and are never sent into the field alone.
We are looking for dependable volunteers who can commit to scheduled street outreach at least once a week and who are willing to build meaningful relationships with youth over time.
