Must have stable living condition, be patient and non judgmental. Must look beyond behavior, appearance and help all youth meeting them where they are. Must be able to walk and carry supplies.
Description
StandUp for Kids provides street outreach and advocacy for youth experiencing homelessness or at risk. Our goal is to connect with young people in their environment, offering support, resources, and a caring presence. Volunteers play a critical role in building trust and helping youth access services.
We are looking for volunteers to participate in schedule street outreach on a consistent team at least once a week. All volunteers are cleared and trained and no volunteer goes into the street alone. Must engage with youth in safe, respectful and supportive manner.
